Please read the Revive Live Grant Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) thoroughly before applying.

Important

Revive Live cannot fund any activities, purchases or payments that have already occurred. The activity that you are seeking funding for cannot commence or take place prior to entering into a grant agreement with the Commonwealth. You must allow time for the assessment process, and if successful, the negotiation of a grant agreement and payment of the grant. Please refer to the indicative dates in the open competitive guidelines (the guidelines) to determine a timeframe for your project.

You should keep a copy of your application and any supporting documentation. Application receipt will be acknowledged via a SmartyGrants confirmation email along with an application reference number.

Tips and hints

  • Read the grant guidelines. Your application will have a higher chance of success if you carefully read the guidelines and understand the program objectives and the assessment criteria.
  • You should also read the program's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which include further tips on how to write your application.
  • Make sure your application is clear, well-articulated and succinct. Avoid repeating information. Use paragraphs and bullet points to make your application easier to read. Proofread it carefully.
  • Don’t assume any background knowledge about you or your organisation. Explain your project as you would to someone who is not familiar with your venue or project.
  • You should confirm as many elements of your project as possible. Unconfirmed elements, including activities, participating artists, partnerships or co-funding, will raise concerns about the viability of your project
  • Where possible, collate your support material by combining individual images or documents in a single PDF. Provide URLs that direct the assessors to material you wish them to review. Avoid providing URLs to general pages such as home pages. DO NOT provide links to shared document sites (such as Google docs or Dropbox) because assessors will not able to be access them.
