Grant Guidelines

Before starting this application, please ensure you have read and understood the:

Note: The following entities are not eligible for IVAIS funding:

  • Individuals or sole traders
  • Unincorporated associations
  • Overseas residents or organisations based outside of Australia
  • Organisations that are at risk of insolvency.

We cannot consider an entity's application if the entity does not meet all eligibility criteria. Full eligibility criteria is available in the Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support (IVAIS) Open Competitive Grant Guidelines.

Privacy Statement

If you provide personal information then the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts will manage that information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.

We will use your personal information in connection with the assessment and administration of the grant application for which it was provided to us. We may share your information with external advisors assisting us with assessment and we may also share your contact details with relevant Ministers and Members of Parliament. We may share your information (including personal information) with other Australian Government entities including for reporting, research, service delivery or compliance purposes (including for publication on GrantConnect). Otherwise we will not use or disclose your personal information except as permitted by law.

You are not compelled by law to provide your personal information but we may not be able to consider a grant application without it.

The department will store your personal information securely. Completing this form

When you submit your application, your answers go into our database and will be used to generate several documents throughout the assessment process including the legal grant agreement (if you are successful).

It is essential that you complete each question carefully with the correct information, including checking for correct spelling etc.

When to submit

Complete this application form to apply for funding for activities that commence in 2025/26 or 2026/27.

  • Submit by 11:59pm AEDT Friday 5 December 2025.
    Please note:
  • Activities up to two years may take place from 2025-26 to 2026-27 or 2026-27 to 2027-28.
  • IVAIS cannot fund an activity (or parts of an activity) that has already occurred.

You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing.
